"Despite their contributions, I could always see these boys being scorn off by ‘authority figures’ who think they shouldn’t be doing what they do best. This wasn’t just the case with cyclists, of course. I felt like many of the likes of us would understand, we’re in the field of arts and our passions were not exactly ‘celebrated’ either.
So I wrote the script, where I initially named it The Rider and passed it on to my lecturer. I didn’t think I would come back for it until I was a famous person with tonnes of money to film it and its scenes in Australia (a girl could dream, no?). Writing was easy when you didn’t have any sort of limitations."
